Barbara Warren Woronko Anzalone
Barbara Woronko Anzalone: Director
Barbara Woronko Anzalone is the director of the Precision Talent & Modeling Competition which was founded in l984 by both Barbara and her beloved Mother, Maria Woronko. A dancer since the age of 3, Barbara has an extensive background in Classical Ballet, Tap and Jazz and danced throughout the United States and Europe. By age 4 she was appearing on television and radio and by the age of 18, she became Miss Pennsylvania USA and was a finalist in the Miss USA Pageant.
A member of the original cast of ABC TV's "Dark Shadows" television series in l968, she played the role of Nurse Pritchett. She was voted
"Favorite Guest Actress On Dark Shadows" by her fans, and, was offered and accepted the role of Aunt Kathy in the Catholic TV Series "Harmony Park."
Barbara's ballet training included travels to London, England where she studied with the world renowned Royal Ballet Academy which was subsidised by Queen Elizabeth. There she studied ballet and character dancing in great depth. In the evening hours, she could be found on the second floor of the dormatory (Hostel) teaching tap combinations to international students and teachers from all over the world. In addition to London, she also studied at the International School of Ballet in Rome, Italy and in the classrooms of Carnegie Hall in New York.
A professional model with the Bernard Reubenstein Agency in New York City, Barbara filmed the national television commercial for Ray-O-Vac Batteries with movie legend Mickey Rooney, in addition to modeling in fashion shows presenting some of the most well known and exclusive bridal fashion designers in the world.
In l974, while in her senior year at Wilkes College, Barbara auditioned for and became a Radio City Music Hall Rockette. Fulfilling the dream of a lifetime, she performed in the 50th Anniversary of the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall in New York. She is presently the 1st Vice President of the Rockette Alumnae Association.
Recently, Barbara wrote a book about her life and beloved family. In the book she recounts her wonderful experiences in the dance world, including her fabulous summer with the Kenley Players. It was there that she performed in "Oklahoma" and "Walking Happy" and became friends with a myriad of wonderful performers including Broadway stars Tommy Tune, Karen Prunzik, Dirk Benedict of Battlestar Galactica, Jesse White - The Maytag Man, Kitty Carlisle and a host of very famous celebrities with whom she worked. Among those international celebrities she considered friends were Frank Sinatra, who often wrote letters to her asking about her career; Robert Wagner, Mickey Rooney and other movie legends she had met and worked with during her long career as a dancer, singer and actress are remembered with great fondness.
